Hey Fashionistas! its been awhile hasn't it? Sorry about that since my last post ALOT has happened in my life. Mainly I got a job at the new ZARA that just opened here in town and I'm so happy! So now I have to juggle college, a job, and my blog! But instead of letting more time pass without posting anything I wanted to start posting something called Motivational Monday's every monday so that you guys are not left without a little something every week. It will be anything that I'm loving currently; ad campaigns for designers or trends that I can't get enough of. Today's is from the March issue of Elle magazine, it features Heidi Mount rocking a 60's Chic Style!

Intro to Fall
Hey Fashionistas, Welcome to Fall!
So this is my first Lookbook-esk post. I put together three outfits that I really felt embodied the fall spirit!
I'm excited to share these looks with you!
#1: Mixing Prints and Military
The mixing of prints is huge this fall, the wondrous clash makes the outfit! Stripes and Polka dots are great prints to mix, each apart are crisp classics of the fashion world. Put them together and your making a bold statement. In this outfit I wanted to take it up a notch and add these Jeffrey Campbell look alike boots to add a little rocker flare to the look. To finish off I topped t off with a green military inspired coat.
Moving on...

#2: Fall Florals
Floral is not just for summer, it's so easy to transform some of your summer dresses into fall dresses. This outfit is a great example of that, I took my fun summery blue floral dress and added a cute navy jacket over the top to cover my shoulders form the cold. I traded my flip flops in for a pair of boots with a slight heel to keep to very feminine. When it gets colder I would add a pair of black tights to complete the look!
Next Please...

#3: Warm and Simple
The warm color blocking makes this outfit look and feel very fall-esk. The brown in the top and the green of the jacket complement each other nicely and produce the warm feel. I love pairing something bold with a simple look, the aztec print in the scarf adds something unexpected to the look and keeps other people guessing!

Status Update
I know Its been a couple weeks since I've posted and for that I am sorry.
Not many know that during that posting drought, I had lost my dog of 12 years, Chloe.
Its been really hard for me this past couple of weeks because she was such a huge part of my childhood.
But with that said, I'm back and ready to work my butt off this month! So get ready Fashionistas because It's FALL, my favorite time of year! Its time to get your wardrobe's ready; so dig through your closets and bring out your jackets, tights, and boots. The colors are getting warmer but the weather is cooling down, and theres lots to do! So get prepared because theres going to be a lot of fall content this September!

Jeffrey Campbell Lita's for Less
I'm guessing all you fashionistas have heard of the infamous Jeffrey Campbell's Litas. Being new to the blogosphere i'm betting i'm a bit late to the hype of the trend. But, JC's Lita Boots are far from off the radar. Some may think they are hideous and clunky while other find them fashionable and stylish. I think it's all about how you style them. I will say while the Litas aren't everyones cup of tea, these boots definitely make a statement!
Go Jane makes this pair; along with a couple other colors and styles. They also carry a bunch of other Jeffery Campbell look a-likes. This pair will run you about $62 dollars.
Charlotte Russe has a great pair as well, along with other Jeffery Campbell look a-likes. These will cost you about $48 dollars.
This pair from Missguided are really beautiful! they will run at about $60 dollars.
H&M has a great and affordable pair too. They have a 1 inch front platform and around a 4 inch heel height. These are also the one's that I decided to purchase out of all the dupes that I ran across. They were $39.95:
{Let me know if you would like me to review my H&M boots}
J.Crew Jewelry for Less
I don't know if anyone is like I am when it comes to shopping for jewelry; I'm always attracted to beautiful pieces that are WAY out of my price range. I'm a big fan of J.Crew's gorgeous line of statement necklaces. I think statement necklaces are a perfect way to express yourself and add dimension and flare to your outfit. Especially when you want to keep your attire more business-y or add a little something special to your night on the town outfit. I just can't get myself to splurge on a necklace that is over $100+ dollars! So I've found a couple alternatives that I think will satisfy my inner fashionista and my bank!!
This is J.Crew's Beaded Rose necklace, this piece retails for about $130. This has to be one of my favorite pieces that J.Crew has released yet. But come on really $130 dollars, thats insane!!
Soon after I went on an internet hunt for a non brand name piece or one that was similar to the beautiful J.Crew piece. I was pleasantly surprised that I was not alone in my search!! I found a great seller on Ebay that creates pieces that looks almost the SAME, and in an array of different colors!
Her Ebay name is misillajane (I will link her online store below); her pieces come in three different colors: peach, mint, and white. They range from $14.99 to $24.99. She's the only seller i've found that keeps truest to the original J.Crew design; the thicker and shorter chain. I can't wait to place my order with her and rock that beautiful necklace!! (Misillajane's Ebay Page).
